Don't tell mom pt. 9 (JeffxLiu)

-.Jeff! honey wake up!
Jeff slowly opened his eyes as his mom opened the curtains letting the daylight enter his room
-.What do you want?!
he said covering his face with a pillow. He felt his mom sit on a side of the bed
-.honey, you've been locked in your room since Liu left, you barely eat and... look, I know it's hard, I miss him too, and a lot, but its time for you to go out
Jeff took the pillow away and sat glancing at the clock. It was 2:30pm. His mom was right, he never left his room, he was always sleeping, drawing or listening to music
-.we are going to Billy's party
his mom said with a cherish tone
-.wait, mom, you're joking right?
-.no, I told you, you need to go out and get some distraction; you can't stay here forever
-.not forever... just until Liu comes back
Margaret sighed
-.I don't care what you say Jeff, we are going to that party
Jeff rolled his eyes as his mom left the room. He stood up looking for something to wear, but he had nothing fancy, all of his clothes where random t-shirts from random bands, and jeans. He picked up an Asking Alexandria t-shirt and his favorite jeans and walked downstairs, his mom and dad were already waiting for him
-.son, is that what you're going to wear?
said his mom looking at him from head to toe
-.better than wearing too much...
he said with an angry tone, his mom gave him an obviously fake smile
-.Now Jeff, we may be over-dressed but this is how you go if you want to make an impression"
-.who said I wanted to make an impression?
Jeff murmured and went back up to his room
-.I don't have any fancy clothes!
he yelled to his parents slamming his room's door
-.just pick up something!
called his mother. He stood there for a moment thinking how much he hated parties and looking at his closet until he found a pair of "fancy" dressing black pants
and a white hoodie.
-.you are wearing that?
both parents asked
-.yeah...
said Jeff awkwardly
-.uh oh... no time to change. Let's just go
his mom said dragging him and his father out of the house. They crossed the street over to Barbara and Billy's house. They knocked on the door and Barbara opened it. As they walked inside of the house all Jeff could see were adults.
-.the kids are out in the yard, Jeff. How about you go outside and meet them?
Barbara asked trying to be friendly. Jeff sighed and nodded while walking towards the yard, it was full of kids, they were all playing with toy guns and cowboy costumes. Suddenly a kid came up to him and handed him a toy gun and a cowboy hat.

-.Hey. Wanna pway?
the kid said.

-.Ah... no kid. I'm way too old for this stuff.
the kid looked at him with a puppy face.

-.Pwease?
 said the kid.
-.Fine...
answered Jeff putting on the hat. He started to pretend shoot at the kids. At first he was embarrassed and thought it was completely ridiculous, but then he started to actually have some fun. It might not have been super cool, but it was the first time he had done something that took his mind off of Liu. He played with the kids for a while, until he heard a noise. A weird rolling noise. Then it hit him. Randy, Troy, and Keith all jumped over the fence on their skateboards. Jeff dropped the fake gun and ripped off the hat.
